
Maria Spetalnik is a CPO® with over 30 years of experience helping others. Her company, Conquer the Clutter, employs a team of organizers offering personalized service ranging from short-term small projects to long-term large-scale support. Maria uses a holistic, harm reduction approach with clients. She works with other professionals to help her clients work past the physical, mental and emotional causes of the clutter. Her goal is to teach them to be able to do this for themselves in the future.
Maria has taught classes Internationally about Chronic Disorganization and Hoarding to Therapists, the FBI, Fire Marshalls, EMTs, Police Officers, Sheriffs, Adult Protective Services, Code Compliance Officers, Animal Control Officers, Social Services Departments, Professional Organizers and others. She has worked with many of these professionals on her client’s behalf. Maria has been a Volunteer in Police Service (VIPS) and a member of the Fairfax County Interagency Hoarding Committee over 15 years.
As an author, her books offer education, assistance, and guidance to public officials and law enforcement, the general public, therapists and other professional organizers (coming soon) to the world of those who hoard.
